About Calibration Presets
Calibration presets store the 4 thermal model coefficients that control how tire temperatures are simulated in the Tire Operating Window engine. Different surfaces, compounds, and car setups may require different coefficients for accurate predictions.
The 4 Coefficients

base_heat_dissipation_coeff | 0.025 | 0.005 โ 0.15 | How fast tires cool via convection and track contact |
camber_heat_factor | 0.015 | 0.001 โ 0.10 | Extra heat generated by camber thrust |
toe_scrub_factor | 0.012 | 0.001 โ 0.10 | Heat from toe scrub during cornering |
How to Use
- Create a preset โ Click "+ New Preset", adjust the sliders, and save.
- Calibrate from data โ Use the โ๏ธ Thermal Calibrator to auto-calibrate coefficients from real telemetry, then save as a preset.
- Compare presets โ Use the Compare tab to see coefficient differences side-by-side.
- Apply to engine โ Click "Apply" on a preset to get the coefficients for use in the Tire Operating Window engine.
- Import/Export โ Share presets as JSON strings with other users.
